| With summer drawing to a close, there's more to take advantage of other than the warm weather. During the time when back-to-school sales run rampant and the seasons begin to change, take a look at some of the deals you should easily find out there: Computers August is great time to snag a deal on a computer while they are on sale for college-goers. Luckily, you don't have to be a college-goer to take advantage of a deal if you find one. Also, if you have your eye on a certain model, be sure to check the manufacturer's website for information on when a new model will be released. That's when you'll see prices drop even lower for the older model. Flip Flops Toward the end of the summer, demand for these comfy summer shoes goes down a bit. Stock up in August when flip flops are on clearance. Swimsuits Take advantage of end of the summer sales while you can! You can usually find deals on bathing suits toward the end of the summer. Plan ahead for next summer (as long as you plan on staying around the same size). Linens and Storage Containers With back-to-school sales all around, you'll see a lot of sales for college dorm necessities like linens and storage containers. August is a good time to stock up if need be. Outdoor Toys and Camping Equipment Stores will be looking to get rid of this bulky stuff to make room for more fall-appropriate merchandise. Patio Furniture Sales began after Independence Day, but in August, you'll see patio furniture marked down even further. Kiplinger says you may even see deals for 50% off of outdoor furniture toward the end of summer. This could be a great opportunity for you if you have somewhere to store the furniture for more use next summer. School and Office Supplies Back-to-school sales don't have to just benefit those who are going back to school. Shop those sales if you need any kind of office equipment or supplies.
